Ways to Volunteer
Volunteering for the 2019 Dinner and Auction Event is a great way to support KIAC, to learn more about our programs, and to meet some amazing people. Check out the opportunities below. Contact Airen at email@example.com or 360-616-0479 if you want to volunteer.
Auction Item Procurement
Help get auction items for our event's silent auction. Volunteers in this role will work collectively to ask local businesses and community members to support KIAC by donating items to be included in this event's silent auction. You'll be provided with all the event info and materials you need. Plus, you'll get guidance on what sorts of items would be a good fit for the KIAC auction, so that you can make suggestions when requesting donations.
Connecting with Potential Event Sponsors
KIAC is looking for businesses, organizations, and individuals to be sponsors for this event. Sponsors contribute financially to help cover the event costs, and they receive sponsorship benefits, such as tickets to the event, ad space in the event program, and more. Volunteers in this realm reach out to potential sponsors, answering any questions they may have about sponsorship and helping them to get signed up if they are interested.
Dessert Makers and Bakers
This dinner and auction event will include a "dessert dash," which means desserts are needed! From Grandma's apple pie to a fresh fruit basket...from baklava to homemade truffles...from decadent gluten-free dark chocolate torte to luscious red velvet cake...all special creations are welcome! Your dessert would need to have a minimum of eight servings, ideally be able to sit out at room temperature for at least four hours, and be able to be dropped of at the event between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. on Saturday, September 21st, 2019. Interested? Just complete the Dessert Dash online donation form.
Day-of and Night-of Event Volunteering
There are many volunteer opportunities on Saturday, September 21st. During the afternoon (12-3 p.m.), we will have roles decorating the venue, setting up the silent auction, and arranging the Dessert Dash table. That evening, we'll need lots of volunteers in all types of auction related roles. Contact Airen for more information.
